CLEVELAND COUNTY, OK – An Oklahoma Libertarian Party candidate is having to answer questions about an explicit photo.
Tim Krahling, who is running for House District 45, posted a nude selfie on a social media account.
House District 45 seat is currently held by Democrat Incumbent State Rep. Claudia Griffith.
Krahling had first denied putting the picture online when asked about it by a reporter for NewsChannel 4.
The selfie was posted on his personal Reddit account, and it’s been viewed nearly 900 times.
Krahling told NewsChannel 4 that if it is him, he isn’t worried about the nude photo hurting his political campaign.
This is Krahling’s first time running for political office.
“We’re completely for liberty, we’re more socially liberal than democrats, we’re more fiscally conservative than republicans,” Krahling told NewsChannel 4.
Krahling decided to run this year because libertarians are now recognized to be on the ballot here in Oklahoma.
“I’m just an average person, not a politician, don’t have any law degree,” Krahling stated to NewsChannel 4.
Several things Krahling wants to do once elected is to help get marijuana legalized. He is also for open carry, even without a license.
Krahling also has would like to see police and fire departments privatized.
“And definitely the postal service. I think it’s run its course. It runs in the red every year. We have plenty of entrepreneurs that are willing to pick up the slack,” Krahling told NewsChannel 4.
Telling NewsChannel 4 that he is all for personal freedom Krahling said, “I’m for what you want to do in your bedroom is your business.”
But the nude picture of him is not in a bedroom, but in a bathroom that has been circulating.
When Krahling was shown the photo Thursday, he stated he wasn’t concerned at all.
“If it is me, I don’t see it as an issue,” Krahling told the reporter.
Krahling’s campaign is up and running and he does have a Facebook page and website.
If anyone wants to know about the picture Krahling will tell them, “As libertarians say, my personal life is my personal life, and your personal life is your personal life.”
And as any candidate would do over the next few months he will be out knocking on doors and asking for votes.
The filing period for Oklahoma House District 45 will take place on April 13 – 15, with the primary election to be held on June 28. You can find more information about the candidates on FortySix News 2016 Elections page.
