Saturday night was the ninth Republican Presidential debate moderated by CBS News at the Peace Center in Greenville, South Carolina.
The fourth Republican debate in 2016 found the Republican presidential candidates having to answer questions about the sudden death of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, 79, that was reported hours before the debate.
The second Saturday night debate of the political season for the Republicans had on stage Ohio Governor John Kasich, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) , Donald Trump, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Dr. Ben Carson.
When FortySix News asked our readers who won the main debate, with 55 percent of respondents said Cruz won and 38 percent said Trump came in second with Rubio coming in with 4 percent.
With only 3 Republican debates left the next one will take place on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the University of Houston in Houston, Texas and will be co-moderated by CNN, Telemundo and Salem Radio.
The second will take place on Thursday, March 3, 2016 in Detroit, Michigan and will be moderated by Fox News.
And the third and final debate for the Republicans will take place on Thursday, March 10, 2016 in Florida and moderated by CNN and Salem Radio.
There are currently 2 Democratic presidential debates scheduled. The first of their debates will take place on Sunday, March 6, 2016 in Flint, Michigan and moderated by CNN.
And the second one will take place on Wednesday March, 9, 2016 in Miami, Florida and moderated by Univision and The Washington Post.
