OKLAHOMA – The United States Geological Survey has now updated that the 4.3 magnitude earthquake was centered near Fairview that occurred first was really a 4.7. And the next one a 4.8 magnitude earthquake near Alva was really near Fairview.
The first two major quakes were reported at 10:27 p.m. with the one additional earthquakes rated at 3.4 reported about ten minutes later near Alva. With a few aftershocks taking place hours later.
The USGS website says the quake was felt as far away as Missouri.
So far no damage has been reported by either the Woods County or Major County sheriff’s offices.
