EL RENO, OK – October 31, 2015 Honoring America’s Warriors will host the 4th annual Quail Hunt for Warriors presented by OEMA.
“We are thrilled to support this organization that does so much for so many veterans” said OEMA General Manager David Griesel.
The hunt will take place just north of El Reno. Fifty veterans and active duty personnel will be paired with fifty sponsors to hunt 1000 quail. The event will start at 9:00 am and last until 6:00 pm.
“This event is one of our premier fundraisers and outing for veterans that we do each fall”, said Scotty “Dee” Deatherage, Executive Director of Honoring America’s Warriors.
“It’s an honor to spend a day together with a group of servicemen and women who enjoy outdoor activities such as this one,” OIF/OEF transition patient advocate for the OKC VA Medical Center, and president of Honoring America’s Warriors, Waco Blakley added.
There will be many disabled combat veterans who will participate and some are single, double and even triple amputees.
“It’s a great opportunity for us to spend a day in an environment that is low stress and able to accommodate some of the limitations of our heroes”, said retired US Army Staff Sgt. Rusty Dunagan.
Dunagan lost both his legs and his left arm in an IED explosion while serving his country.
